Algeria to host 1st International Congress on biodiversity, wetlands

ALGIERS,May 27 (AE&B)-- The University of El Tarf,500 km east of Algiers,is  hostin since today the 1st International Congress on biodiversity and wetlands, in which a hundred researchers from Algeria, Italy, France and Tunisia are will taking part.  The objective aim of this three-day scientific meeting, which will focus on knowledge, rehabilitation, health and management of wetlands, is to "educate scientists on importance of biodiversity preservation, and dangers threatening it," Siab added.                                                                                                                               The meeting, which is open to all young researchers interested in the themes of the conference, will provide an opportunity for exchange with Maghreb, French and Italian speakers, who will present the results of their latest research.Also, the conference will "discuss and debate on the issues addressed by Algerian and foreign scientists, and try to answer the call made on 22 May International Day for Biological Diversity," the same source added.
